A £100,000 project to resurface the main car park in Northallerton is to begin later this month.
The work will see the Applegarth car park closed from next Wednesday until the following Tuesday, unless there is bad weather.
Users are being warned it is likely to cause disruption to other facilities on the site.
Access to the waste recycling centre, litter and poop-scoop bins and the tourist information centre are all likely to be restricted.
However, the public footpath will remain open, although there could be some minor diversion routes in place.
It is five years since the car park was completely resurfaced, although minor repairs have been carried out.
The scheme is part of a continuous maintenance programme for all sites owned Hambleton District Council.
