A TYNESIDE family has become the envy of their neighbours, after television experts gave their backyard a makeover.
Garden designer Simon Cross, presenter on ITV show, The Whole Nine Yards, has brought a taste of the jungle to the home of Sharon and John MacFarlane, in Wallsend.
The centrepiece is a water feature with a difference, by Phil Jennings, using an African-style stone pot and some customised bamboo paving.
The show can be seen on Tyne Tees, at 5.45pm on Sunday.
Forthcoming episodes will feature a Scandinavian-style deck in Darlington, a forest clearing in Tynemouth and a yard based around water in Durham.
