Kirby Sigston are still out in front after recording their 20th victory in 23 games at the weekend.
They saw off the challenge from Skelton Castle by seven wickets after restricting the home side to 77 all out as Clarkson claimed four wickets for 31 runs in 13 overs and Kendrew picked up two wickets at a cost of seven runs. Cowton gave support to the pair and his two wickets were taken for 22 runs.
When they replied Kirby Sigston lost three wickets before reaching the winning margin in 16 overs as Thompson carried his bat for 36 with two boundaries.
Kirby Sigston are two points ahead of Broughton and Kirby who drew their game at Kildale. Batting first Kildale ended with 141 for nine which included 41 by opener Cook.
Father and son Arthur and Michael Fawcett were both in tremendous form for Ingleby Greenhow at home to Swainby. Arthur captured five wickets for 28 runs and his son Michael had the equally impressive figures of five for 34 when the visitors were all out for 62. Michael then took control of the Ingleby Greenhow attack and scored no fewer than 50 not out in a total of 64 for one as Ingleby Greenhow recorded their sixth victory of the season.
After being restricted to 98 in 35.4 overs Maltby sent Scruton back for 69 after 24 overs.
Opening batsman Hall top scored with 27 when Maltby made first use of the wicket and found Steve Brass and Brian Barritt in splendid form with the ball.
Brass sent down 18 overs, five of which were maidens, returning five for 48 and Barritt had the equally fine figures of five for 46 from the 17.4 overs he delivered which included three maidens.
Scruton though found runs more difficult to come by when they replied and the innings closed on 69 which included 32 by Dave Barker with six boundaries.
Hutton Rudby were 61 for five replying to the Chopgate total of 157 for three.
Crathorne found run making difficult at Thimbleby but so too did the home side who scraped home by just one wicket. Crathorne were all out for 64 with Pearson taking five for 28. But replying to the low target Thimbleby just scraped a victory with their last pair at the wicket. Chapman and Simpson.
The game at East Harlsey was brought to a premature end by rain. Smith scored no fewer than 70 of the Stafford Place total of 102 for nine before the match was abandoned.
