A YEAR-long arts project will soon come to fruition with an exhibition at a Newton Aycliffe school.
The exhibition, at Greenfield Community and Arts Centre, is being named Art-Work-Art.
It involved German-born artist Rolf Wojciechowski working with Volante PTIS, in Trimdon Grange, a manufacturing firm which produces interior panels for coaches and trains.
Work produced by employees in England and Germany and work by the artist will be exhibited at Greenfield's Gallery Space, from Monday, September 22, to Friday, October 10.
The exhibition explores the connections between both sites, manufacturing and artistic practice and the social and work environments of all involved. Sedgefield Borough Council leisure services agreed to support the project after being approached by Volante PTIS managing director John Parks.
He was keen to support an artist residency at the company, and support for the project was aided with help from both the Arts Council of England North East and the Arts in Business New Partners scheme.
