Middleton St George are still in a strong position to clinch the championship of Division A despite their game at Heighington becoming a victim of the weather.
They dismissed the home side for 95 in 25 overs as Dave McKenna captured five wickets for 40 runs in 12 overs. Tony Smith top scored with 49 for Heighington finding the boundary line on eight occasions but with the Middleton St George on two runs without loss the game had to be abandoned.
Rockliffe Park are second and they completed their fixture at home to Cliffe winning by 126 runs after dismissing their opponents for 42 when Garbutt returned the magnificent figures of eight wickets for 18 runs. Batting first Rockliffe Park realised 168 for eight which included 51 not out by Hart while for Cliffe Adamson returned three for 52.
Barningham had 39 runs in hand of Aldbrough St John. When they made first use of the wicket Barningham posted 166 for six of which Mullins contributed 44, Walker 30 and Lowes 56.
When they went into bat Aldbrough had opener Priestley (42) in form, but the innings dithered to 129 for eight.
Witton-le-Wear managed only 89 in their home game with Ingleton who went on to win by six wickets. Almost half the Witton-le-Wear total came from opening batsman Chrisp with 41 as Wood took four wickets for a mere three runs, Osborne three for 39 and Gammak two for 44 for Ingleton.
After losing two early wickets, Ingleton were never troubled as Stuart Dawson hit 45 and Osborne carried his bat for 26.
Little play was possible at Cockerton who were 111 for two when their match with Raby Castle had to be abandoned with rain. Farrow was still there unbeaten on 49, Lee was 26 not out and Dale contributed 27. No play was possible at Barton where Haughton were due to be visitors. Rockliffe Park have a narrow lead over Catterick Village in Division B, despite their game with Middleton Tyas being cancelled, one of three out of six fixtures to suffer the same fate.
Catterick Village staged their home match with Spennithorne and Harmby and won losing one wickets despite being required to score 155.
Lacey carried his bat for 56 and Bolton ended unbeaten on 79 when Catterick Village replied with 155 for one. Spennithorne and Harmby were 154 for seven at the end of their allotted overs with Greaves top scoring with 54 while for Catterick Swainston took three of the seven wickets to fall for 65 runs.
Heighington were 125 for eight at East Cowton before the rain arrived. Olney top performed with 30 and Overfield added 28 while for East Cowton Whitfield had four for 44.
Lands were 60 for none in their home match with Spennymoor when the inclement weather closed in. Little was 27 not out and Elstob unbeaten on 26.
In Division C Trimdon Colliery and Deaf Hill were all out for 48 against Brompton-on-Swale who went on to win by seven wickets.
Runs were more plentiful for King James who totaled 165 for five against Trimdon CCA. Hill (43), Davidson (48) and Raw (30) were all in good form for King James and when Trimdon CCA replied they managed only 51 which included 31 by Tinkler. Hill had a good day with the ball for King James claiming five wickets for a meager 16 runs.
Cockerton realised 131 for four but still lost by seven wickets to Raby Castle for whom Lee carried his bat for 43. Haughton were 72 for the loss of five wickets when the weather closed in. There was no play between Aldbrough St John and Barningham and Cliffe and Lands.
