Division One: Bedale FC 2, SMG Redstripes 0: Bedale bounced back against Second Division Champions SMG Redstripes.
With 15 minutes gone Adam Bramley added his eighth of the season to give Bedale a slender 1-0 lead. The visitors were just getting back into the match when Paul Orton doubled the home side's lead in the 38th minute. In the second half the visitors pressed forward but found the Bedale defence in resolute mood.
Grangetown BC 3, Stokesley SC 1
Grangetown Boys Club took an early lead after only two minutes when Steve Scott scored. The only goal of an otherwise tight first half. Stokesley drew level in the 65th minute when James Middleditch, who scored in the mid-week win, pulled it back to 1-1 with his fifth of the season. But five minutes later the match turned in favour of the Boys Club when Lloyd Batey put through his own goal to give the home side a 2-1 lead. 13 minutes later Michael Meggison secured the League Champions their second win of the season.
New Marske SC 3, Mackinlay Park 2
New Marske Sports Club secured their first win and points of the campaign after taking a second minute lead over Redcar side Mackinlay Park through Dean Chapman. Ray Teasdale made it all square in the tenth minute but New Marske regained the lead in the 19th minute through Parry Jones. Mackinlay Park drew level five minutes before half time courtesy of a Tom Straker own goal. With only a minute left on the clock, Straker made up for his own goal by grabbing the winner for New Marske.
Thornaby FC 1, Carlin How 0
Thornaby Football Club move into second place after three consecutive victories. A tight match was always on the cards when they entertained Carlin How, who had only lost once, drawn three and won one. The only goal of the game came as early as the fifth minute when a long throw was headed on and Michael Arif reacted the quickest to score his fifth of the season.
Thornaby YC 1, BEADS FC 0
Thornaby Youth Club had their backs to the wall when entertaining Middlesbrough side BEADS FC. Paul Chamberlin was on the end of the visitors' slick passing and should have done better in the eight minute when his shot was blocked on the post. The home side were given a boost in the 37th minute when BEADS had Michael Crowe sent off following a late tackle. But at half time the match remained goalless. In the second half the home side's one man advantage showed and in the 52nd minute they took the lead when a Chris Cain corner was hammered home by Gary Waite.
Wolviston Res 0, Hartlepool FC 3
Wolviston Reserves slipped to their second consecutive defeat when they entertained current league leaders Hartlepool. It was the visitors who struck first. A good through ball found Paul Hill, who finished off from an acute angle. The home side were caught with a sucker punch break when substitute Neil Hay converted a chance set up by Gary Moore and John Rose in the 65th minute and five minutes from time Hartlepool secured the win from the spot, with Lee Hagen converting.
Divisio Two
Darlington Albion 1, Billingham Wndrs 1
Darlington Albion fell behind to visitors Billingham Wanderers after an evenly balanced first half hour when Lee Mitchell gave the Billingham side a 1-0 lead. Ten minutes into the second half Gary Mitchell pulled it back to 1-1 and the score remained the same despite the Darlington side missing a penalty.
Darlington CB 2, Guisb Town Res 3
The home side took a second minute lead through Nigel Clark, his first of the season, but the Guisborough side struck back six minutes later through Paul Davies. This remained the score until just before half time when the visitors took a shock 2-1 lead through Chris MacFarlane. In the second half the home side pressed forward and drew level when Chris Airey scored from the penalty spot. But the home side were shocked in the last minute when Davies scored a last gasp winner.
North Ormesby FC 2, Darlington RA Res 1
After a goalless first half North Ormesby took the lead in the 54th minute when Richard O'Connor flicked on for Anthony Parker to open his account for the season. They added a second through Richard Mills to lead 2-0. The Darlington side pressed forward but keeper Anthony Leen was equal to what was thrown at him until two minutes from time when Dean Lawson pulled it back to 2-1 but the home side were well worth their win.
Teesside Link 3, Teesside Ath 1
Thornaby side Teesside Link secured their second win of the week and they took a 1-0 lead after half an hour of play with Steve Hill on target. Seven minutes later the same player made it 2-0. Then a minute into the second half the Redcar side pulled it back to 2-1 when Steve Dotchin scored. But nine minutes later Tony Wray with his first of the season secured the home side win.
Whinney Banks 0, Richmond Mavericks 5
Middlesbrough side Whinney Banks suffered their second consecutive 5-0 defeat. They fell behind after only 28 minutes when Wayne Gredziak was on target. Six minutes later the home side found themselves 2-0 behind when Gredziak added a second. The first 15 minutes saw the home side press forward for a way back into the match but Gredziak put paid to that hope in the 64th minute when he secured his hat-trick. Eight minutes later Mavericks took a 4-0 lead when Mark Fleetwood scored before adding his second of the match to make it 5-0 and send his team to the top of the League as Dormans were on cup duty.
Macmillan Bowl Preliminary Round
Dormans FC 0, Fishburn Park 1
A match that was very evenly balanced was won with a first goal of the season from Lee Found of Fishburn who fired home from just outside the Dormans penalty area with only two minutes of normal time remaining, Fishburn will now meet another second division side Darlington SRM who received a bye.
Nunthorpe Ath 1, Richmond Town 2
Nunthorpe Athletic bowed out of the MacMillan bowl, but felt they were badly done for when a penalty was awarded against them when they entertained Richmond Town. Adam Emson gave the visitors a 1-0 lead after only five minutes. The turning point came in the 36th minute when an assistant referee's flag indicated a hand ball, with the home side baffled by the decision but a penalty was awarded and Michael Sartini steeped up to make it 2-0. Nunthorpe's only response was when Peter Crawford scored.
