TWO muggers held up three teenagers with a screwdriver before forcing them to strip and robbing them of their clothes and mobile phones, a court heard yesterday.
The three youngsters, aged 15 and 16, were celebrating the Easter break on April 11 when they were subjected to the mugging.
The trio had left school in Blaydon, Gateshead, and were making their way to Capers Corner, in Rowlands Gill, a local haunt.
As they walked up a steep hill at about 6pm, they were confronted by Lee Doran, 22, and 19-year-old Guy English.
Yesterday, the pair pleaded guilty to two counts of robbery at Newcastle Crown Court.
English, of Margaret Terrace, Tanfield Lea, Stanley, County Durham, was sentenced to 18 months in a young offenders' institute.
Doran, of Park Avenue, Prudhoe, Northumberland, was jailed for two years.
