A CHARITY concert by Richmond Operatic Society raised more than £650 for an appeal to buy hospital equipment.
The Friends of the Friarage Hospital in Northallerton are attempting to raise £150,000 to equip an endoscopy unit being planned as part of the hospital's redevelopment.
It will allow the hospital to diagnose and treat patients at an earlier stage.
More than 100 music lovers enjoyed the concert at the Zetland Christian Centre, Victoria Road in Richmond.
Friends' chairman Stephen Lamb said: "We are very grateful to Richmond Operatic Society for their help and support with our endoscopy appeal."
The society's next charity concert will be for the Richmondshire Alzheimer's Society at the Kings Head in Richmond on September 24. Tickets, at £3.50, on the door or by calling (01748) 832092.
