A Darlington community group is providing a new season of courses, from learning to fish to slimming.
The Cockerton and Branksome Living Enterprise (Cable) group is urging more people to get involved in its courses and support groups.
The Cable Fishing Club, for children aged six to 16, teaches a number of fishing techniques, including various types of flies and how to tie them.
A driver theory and hazard perception course can help residents through their driver theory test, with a test for learners to practise on and tips on all parts of the exam.
A Father's Network provides support for fathers and male carers.
Computer courses are also available at Cable. People can learn basic word processing and spreadsheets, as well as more advanced skills. Other services include job searches, interview techniques, a slimming club, first aid and food hygiene.
