The Darlington Chrysanthemum and Dahlia Society held its annual early show at the Dolphin Centre on Saturday.
The society's top growers mixed with members of the public to show their flowers and highlight their long horticultural tradition in the town.
Show secretary, Kelvin Vincent said: "Some of our top growers have been at the three national shows that took place in the last week, so they did not have a lot of flowers left for Saturday's show.
"However, it was very well attended by exhibitors, although we were a bit disappointed with the number of members of the public who came through to see the show.
"Obviously we were competing with some other events taking place in Darlington at the same time."
The society's late show will take place at the Dolphin Centre on November 8.
