KEEN cyclists in Darlington yesterday got the chance to take part in a charity bike ride that was washed out by a freak summer rain storm.
The Border Bike Ride, part of the town's annual cycling festival, was washed out in June and had to be postponed until yesterday. The two routes, one of 25 miles and the other of 50 miles, were in aid of the St Teresa's Hospice.
Both routes skirt around the town's borders.
