A NEW driving test centre is to be opened by the Driving Standards Agency this week.
The Whitby centre will be opened on Wednesday, and driving tests will start the same day.
The centre is at St Hilda's Business Centre, Green Lane.
The agency's area manager, Dave Jefferson, said: "We are delighted to offer our customers improved facilities, which includes an off-street car park for candidates arriving for their driving test."
The site of the former centre has been sold by Scarborough Council for development.
