The charity Epilepsy Action wants to establish a support group in Darlington.

SCRUTINY COMMITTEE: A meeting of Sedgefield Borough Council's scrutiny committee covering culture, recreation and housing, will be held tomorrow in the council offices, Green Lane, Spennymoor, from 10am.

CANCER CARE: Debenhams stores in the region are backing the Breast Cancer Campaign until October 4, with donations from the sale of certain items of clothing and perfume going to the charity.
ADULT LEARNING: Adult education classes are starting at Hurworth School Maths and Computing College, near Darlington, on Wednesday. A ten-week information technology course will run from 5.45pm to 7.45pm and a reading group from 6pm to 7.30pm. Anyone interested can register on the day.
SNOW POLES: Stanhope Parish Council has been told that new snow poles have been ordered for the moorland road above Crawleyside.
TOWN COUNCIL: Shildon Town Council meets tonight in the council offices, Civic Hall Square, Shildon, at 6.30pm. The meeting is open to the public.
NEW COURSES: Two new courses are starting at Stanhope Community Centre. Basic reflexology classes are held each Monday, from 6.30pm to 6.30pm, and a course in digital imaging starts on Wednesday, also from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.
