SUNDERLAND fans have been urged to book tickets for games to avoid a repeat of lengthy queuing seen so far this season.
Following the club's relegation from the Premiership, fewer fans renewed season tickets, leading to more supporters arriving at the Stadium of Light on match-days without tickets.
Following the up-turn in the Black Cats' fortunes on the pitch, with three successive wins, the biggest crowd of the season so far is expected at the stadium today.
A spokeswoman said: "We want fans to be aware of the many different services available which facilitate the quick and easy purchase of tickets, thus negating the need to queue on the day."
Choices include a 24-hour phone line, Internet sales, postal applications, e-mail and fax.
The ticket office is open between Monday and Friday, from 10am to 5.30pm, and on non-home match Saturdays between 10am and 1pm.
Tickets can be booked on 0191-551 5151.
