The North Hartlepool Partnership scheme has received a £60,000 boost.
The money will be channelled into small environmental schemes and street lighting improvements, as well as raisng the cash pool for the Community Chest Fund and the Community Safety Grants.
Derek Gouldburn, partnership manager, said: "We have recently received a number of inquiries about the availability of money for small-scale environmental improvements as an extension of our Green Corridors and Gateways project.
"Some of the £60,000 will be used for such schemes and the partnership will be considering potential schemes shortly."
