A SCHOOL football team has a new strip thanks to the generosity of a local business.
The year eight team at Hurworth School Maths and Computing College were badly in need of a new kit.
When he heard of the team's plight, Andrew Verity, operations manager of Roadstone Recycling, in Catterick, whose son, Anthony, plays for the team, decided to do something about it. His company agreed to sponsor a new set of football strips.
Managing director Gary Cook joined Mr Verity to presenting the team with their new outfits yesterday.
The kit is designed in the school colour of black, with the sponsor's logo on the front.
