Rejuvenated Darlington head to York City tonight aiming to continue their recent revival.
Quakers make the short trip to Bootham Crescent bidding to make it three victories on the trot following back-to-back wins over Carlisle and Doncaster.
And providing his side can produce the same kind of fighting spirit which has seen them pull away from the bottom of Division Three, manager Mick Tait is confident his men have what it takes to continue their recent surge up the table. "The attitude of the lads has been absolutely brilliant," said Tait.
"Everybody seems to be working for each other and it has showed in the last couple of games.
"As long as we continue to work hard we're going to win games and hopefully the lads can continue where they left off at York."
Tait may revert to the 4-4-2 formation which proved so effective in the second half against Doncaster and that could mean starting places for Ian Clark and Neil Wainwright.
The latter in particular has a strong chance of earning a starting place after coming off the bench to score both goals in the win over Rovers.
"We needed to do something to speed the game up and that's why we brought on the two wide men," said Tait.
"I didn't feel that we were in too much danger at half-time but I said that I would change things around if we didn't start passing the ball around better. We didn't so we needed to do something about it.
"The two wide men got into the corners and I think we could have rattled in another three or four towards the end."
And providing former Sunderland winger Wainwright suffers no reaction to the groin injury which has so far restricted him to just two substitute appearances this season, Tait will find it difficult to leave out the 25-year-old after his impressive return to action at the weekend.
"Neil was feeling a bit sore before the Doncaster game so we didn't think it right to start him," said Tait.
"He did brilliantly when he came on and obviously that has given me something else to think about."
Tait's opposite number tonight, player-manager Chris Brass, has experienced mixed fortunes in his first season in management.
The former Burnley player was sent off on the opening day win at Carlisle as his side claimed maximum points in their opening four games.
However, the Minstermen go into tonight's game on the back of three straight defeats.
Brass is expected to hand a start to former Quakers defender Richard Hope.
