A structural consultancy is putting the final touches to a £10m chill store for chocolate.
AMP Consultants, of Darlington, provided engineering and architectural services for the insulated 19,000sq metre warehouse and office at Aston, Birmingham.
The Aston Distribution Centre, which is overlooked by Spaghetti Junction, on the M6, is a joint venture between Peter Osborne Limited and Insulated Structures Limited (ISL).
The three-span, high-bay warehouse will be used to store Cadbury's chocolate at a constant, chilled temperature. AMP Consultants, a steel frame structure specialist, has been responsible for a number of cold storage and chill store developments throughout the UK.
