A NORTH-East headteacher has been shortlisted for a national education award.
John Warburton, head of Harrowgate Hill Junior School, Darlington, has been nominated for primary school leadership in the ICT in Practice Awards for the second year running.
The awards aim to recognise good practice in the use of computers in teaching.
Both he and his school could receive a prize of £2,500.
Mr Warburton said: "We are beginning to see pupils using computers and other digital technology as a natural means of communication and research, just as they do with pen and paper and reference materials.
