A FRESH search for a 55-year-old man missing from home for a month uncovered no new clues at the weekend.
Teesdale and Weardale Search and Rescue team spent Sunday searching for Ian Richardson from Ferryhill, who was last seen at his home in Bertha Street on August 11.
Sedgefield police called in the team to search a large area centred on the Thrislington quarry works to the west of the town.
Team spokesman Steve Owers said: "Fifteen team members and two mountain rescue dogs searched woodland either side of the East Coast Railway Line."
Mr Richardson is 5ft 6in, of average build, with dark brown, curly hair and brown eyes. He has a tattoo of a peacock on his right arm and a bird in flight on the other.
At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a dark blue shirt, dark blue trousers and a three-quarter length green coat.
