A CAR-FREE day will take place in a Teesside town on Monday.
Stockton, along with other towns across Britain and Europe, will be adopting the event. A fun day has also been organised.
The event will start at 9.30am with the mayor of Stockton leading a parade down the High Street in a horse-drawn bus.
Other events include art activities, storytelling and music and information on healthy lifestyles and the environment. In addition there will be a funfair and a caf.
Sue Dobson, of Stockton Borough Council, said: "Monday will be a day to consider how to improve your health and the local environment by walking, cycling and using the bus or train.
