SUPERMARKET staff are hoping to break the world record for the biggest sing-a-long today.
Asda workers are warming up their vocal chords in preparation to sing along to Louise's Tickled Pink song, Don't Give Up, which is to raise money for Breast Cancer Research.
The supermarket chain needs 320 people to sing at each of its 262 stores and 23 depots at 5pm on Thursday, in order to make the Guinness Book of Records. The previous record involved 83,637 people singing along to a song.
Michael Moody, who works at the Asda distribution depot, on the Pattinson Industrial Estate in Washington, said: "Everybody will be given a song sheet and the music will be played over the music system, but you don't have to sing in tune."
