Darlington MP Alan Milburn will be fixing constituents' problems in a do-it-yourself store today.
The Labour MP has chosen a conservatory inside B&Q at Morton Park, Darlington, for his surgery session.
From noon to 1pm he will be answering residents' questions and hearing their concerns about local issues.
He will also tour the aisles of the store and be introduced to staff, including some of the store's workers aged over 50, who choose to continue in employment rather than retire.
Mr Milburn said: "By setting up shop at B&Q, I hope more constituents will use the chance to consult me if they need to."
Simon Tunnah, general manager at the B&Q Warehouse, in Darlington, said: "As hosts of this MP surgery we really feel we are at the heart of our local commmunity."
