Champions East Rainton completed a marvellous season winning their last game again Medomsley to finish unbeaten with 17 victories and five draws in 22 games.
Batting first Medomsley totalled 136 for eight which included 49 by Dixon, while for East Rainton Ian Kitching took three wickets for 27 runs.
When they replied East Rainton were indebted to Collin Henderson for his contribution of 32 and to Derek Aylesbury who carried his bat for 32. Dixon claimed four of the five wickets to fall for 38 runs.
In addition to winning the championship East Rainton won the Henry Bainbridge, Roseberry Group, Vinton and Glen Pattison Cups to create a club record.
Plawsworth finished the season in fourth position after winning by six wickets at home to Hunwick. The visitors made first use of the wicket and realised 175 for nine from their 45 overs. A number of players made useful contributions and the top scorer was Wayne Johnson who had four boundaries in 30 while for Plawsworth Peter Harwood returned figures of four for 55 in 11 overs and Stephen Peel claimed two wickets for just one run from the two overs he delivered.
In reply Plawsworth had six wickets for just 1.5 overs to spare when they reached a winning target. Ian Pratt recorded nine boundaries in 75 and Stuart Whitfield carried his bat for 40 with six fours.
Coxhoe were all out for 91 and ended the season bottom of the table. Washington went on to win by nine wickets after Wilkie claimed three wickets for 15 runs and afterwards Thompson scored 35 and Fowle an unbeaten 38 in the Washington innings.
Newton Aycliffe, who were once in a good position to clinch the championship, ended second after they saw off the challenge from Sunderland Hospitals by two wickets.
Replying to a target of 132 they had Roberts in good form an his 41 was a vital contribution. Tansey was the top wicket taker for Hospitals ending with three for 47.
When the home side batted first they reached 131 for the loss of seven wickets and their top scorer was Shaw with 44.
Simonside made 121 all out which included 38 not out by Phinn while for Wearmouth Peter Stronach had three for 15. Ray Morgan, Gary Pickering and Hail all took a couple of wickets before Wearmouth won for the loss of four wickets as Stephenson contributed 33 and Matthew Dench an unbeaten 68.
Littletown overtook the formidable Coundon total of 191 losing two wickets. Andy Woollett ended undefeated on 53, Latham carried his bat for 48 and Vallance scored 42 opening the innings.
When Coundon batted first they had Murray (47) in form and towards the end of the innings Liddle scored 37 and Hardy an unbeaten 33. Suleman captured three wickets for 20 runs and Woollett had three for 33.
In division two Belmont are champions and Kelloe runners-up. Belmont though lost their final game of the season by two wickets to Benwell Hill despite scoring 188 for nine which included 69 by Ian Steel and 31 from Reynolds, who put together a profitable partnership for the third wicket. Errington then ended unbeaten with 37 and for Benwell Hill James Kilpatrick returned the excellent analysis of five for 26.
Replying Benwell Hill were given a good send off by Hamilton with 30 before Robertson added a valuable 42 to the match winning total of 191 for eight. Noble with three for 50 and Peacock three for 28 shared six of the eight wickets to fall.
After making 126 for nine Bearpark lost by seven wickets to Kelloe who finished the season 20 points behind champions Belmont.
Kelly, who went in at number three, ended with 56 not out for Bearpark.
