Darlington FC will this season again be taking part in the Nationwide Supporters of Tomorrow scheme.
The scheme has been designed by Nationwide to encourage clubs in the three divisions of the Nationwide Football League to promote female interest in football.
In addition, Nationwide, an Official Partner of the Football Association and women's football, is supporting clubs as they encourage women to attend Football League action.
Darlington's scheme kicked off last Saturday as Nationwide handed over the support grant prior to the Quakers' 2-1 win over Doncaster. Nationwide representative, Angela Raper, handed the cheque to the club's PR Director Luke Raine.
The Nationwide grant of £750,000 will be shared equally between all Nationwide Football League clubs and will be distributed in the coming season to support the development of the women's game.
To find out how to get involved with the club's scheme, contact Kevin Stonehouse, the Club's Football in the Community officer, on (01325) 381972.
Any girls interested in getting involved in football in your local area should call the FA's 'Girls Get Involved' hotline on 0845 310 8555.
Saturday's presentation was attended by Luke Raine and Kevin Stonehouse of Darlington FC (back row l-r) and Angela Raper, Nationwide's Darlington Branch Football Liaison Officer (middle row l), together with Darlington Spraire Lasses U11s football team.
Any girls wishing to get involved with Spraire Lasses should contact Dave Scott on (01325) 283581.
