PEOPLE across the borough of Stockton are being given an opportunity to see how a redevelopment project is progressing.
The South Stockton Link Road stage two site, which is being run by Stockton Borough Council in conjunction with Birse Civils, will hold an open day on Wednesday, October 8, from 2pm to 4pm.
It has been organised to help people see first hand the construction activities being carried out in the project.
The scheme will include rail tunnels, a 35 metre single span bridge and the widening of Bowesfield Lane, which is now near completion.
The open day will include an exhibition, interactive displays and demonstrations of the latest technology in the construction industry, including an earth moving plant.
There will also be a shuttle bus service that will run from the Castlegate Quay Watersports Centre, where the exhibition will be held, to the South Stockton site, where a tour has been organised.
Joanne Inglis, from Birse Civils, said: "This will be an informative day which allow people the opportunity to see and learn first hand about the construction activities being undertaken.
"We are continuing our commitment to community engagement.
"This open day would be an invaluable opportunity for anyone who is interested in their local area."
