Willington Cottles lost their unbeaten record when they went down in the deciding team game to the visiting Willington Burn Inn.
The home side went into the lead with singles wins from John Barron, Kenny Louth, Stephen Robinson and Michael Richardson, whilst Lyndon Taylor and Colin Davison won for the Burn. Cottles then added a doubles point through Michael Richardson and Kenny Louth but the Burn closed to just a point adrift when Gordon Foster with Lyndon Taylor and Malcolm Campbell with Colin Davison won their doubles. The visitors snatched their one point victory after they won the double points team game.
The best check out of the season to date came from Dave Bailey of Willington Black Horse Inn when he finished on 130 in his debut season.
Sunnybrow Brown Trout A lead the table by three points from Willington Lion and Unicorn, who are one ahead of the Prospect Club.
