JOB hunters in Hartlepool are to be given free help on their doorsteps.
Staff from the employment initiative Hartlepool Working Solutions (HWS) are to hold regular drop-ins around the town.
HWS offers training and works with employers as well as helping find jobs for Hartlepool people.
Projects by HWS, which is run by Hartlepool Borough Council, include: Jobs Build which helps unemployed people find permanent work, Targeted Training, which provides pre-employment train- ing and Opportunities for Women which offers courses to help women who have been out of work for a long time. The project is joint funded by the North Hartlepool Partnership, the Neighbourhood Renewal Fund, The European Social Fund and the Learning and Skills Council.
The drop in sessions are each held on alternate weeks at:
* West View Employment action Centre, Miers Avenue, Tuesdays, 9am to 11am.
* First Stop, Wynyard Road, Tuesdays, 1.30pm to 3.30pm.
* Job Centre Plus, Victoria Road, Thursdays, 9am to 1pm.
* Hartlepool Action Team stall, Indoor Market, Middleton Grange Shopping Centre, Thursdays, 9am to 1pm.
