All the action came in the Durham Minor Cup where a golden goal from Paul Tennick in the second minute of extra time saw Wearhead United beat Hartlepool Park Hotel.
The sides had drawn 2-2 in ninety minutes with Tennick and Darren White on target for Wearhead.
Byers Green St Peters trailed Evenwood White Swan at half time in the only all-Crook league clash. A Chris Pickles hat trick turned the game in favour of St Peters though White Swan pulled back a second goal late on.
Rob Barron's golden goal gave Crook White Swan a 4-3 victory over Darlington GSOB Reserves. Kevin Carter (2) and Robert Punshon were the other Swan scorers.
Extra time was also needed at Hartlepool Travellers where John Dent, Kevin Burke and an own goal brought Howden Australian from behind to make it 3-3. Australian won through with a goal from Phil Currah in the second half of added time.
Coundon and Leeholme Juniors beat Burnside WMC 6-2 away in a very physical game. Anthony Ebdon (2), Craig Adams, Michael McGowan, Shaun Tarling and Dale Jardine scored.
Goals from Matthew Tyrie, Ashley Hinds, Alan Jones and David Foggin earned Bishop Rugby Club a 4-1 win at Hartlepool Knights.
Willington WMC were on the wrong end of a big score going down 6-1 at Shildon Elm Road Club.
Tow Law Station also conceded six in losing 6-2 at Hole in the Wall. Edward Umpleby notched a brace for the Station.
Stanley United and Roddymoor had free days when respective opponents Stockton Baptist Tabernacle and Coundon St Patricks called off the games.
