AN Indian dance company is leading school pupils on a two-day workshop in the ancient art-form.
The Annapurna Dance Company arrived at Easington Community School in east Durham, yesterday, for the start of a workshop that will finish with a performance this evening.
The sessions, which also involved students from Shotton Hall and Seaham schools, began with an explanation from professional artist Shantha Rao on the concept of Indian dancing.
They were then taken through various routines.
This evening, students will be giving their performance in traditional Indian costumes and will have the chance to try out some Indian food.
