RESIDENTS of Hartlepool's New Deal for Communities (NDC) area still have a chance to shape a £54m regeneration programme.
Six vacancies are available for residents on the NDC Steering Group - two each in the northern, central and southern parts of the area.
The steering group, which ultimately makes all the decisions on NDC priorities, plans and funding, is made up of 23 members from a range of organisations. Twelve of the members are residents.
Nominations for the six vacant posts are being sought and the closing date is Monday.
NDC spokeswoman Louise Anderson said: "We want to hear from residents living in each geographical part of the NDC area who are aged 18 or over and interested in making their neighbourhoods better places. They must be able to attend two evening meetings per month."
If more than two nominations are received for a particular area, an election will be held on October 17
