PATIENTS and staff at a diabetes centre can take a minute to sit and unwind thanks to the generosity of a bereaved family.
The seat has been donated to the centre at the Friarage Hospital in memory of the late Malcolm McMonegal.
His widow, Dorothy, son John and daughter Catherine donated the wooden seat as a thank you for the care and support he was given by the staff when he was a patient there.
Diabetes consultant Dr Roger Fisken said: "We are grateful to the family for the seat, it will enhance the garden outside the centre and provide a pleasant place for staff and patients to sit and enjoy a quiet moment.
