AN EXHIBITION about lacemaking has opened in east Durham.
Cobwebs and Frost is a display of lace work at Seaton Holme, in Easington, put together by Marguerite Elliott.
She worked as a design consultant to a Scottish tweed manufacturer after attending the Royal College of Art in London.
Her exhibition features crochet, knitted lace, tatting and embroidered lace.
It includes a needle and cotton used to make Queen Victoria's wedding dress.
The exhibition, organised by Groundwork East Durham, runs until November 5.
