HARTLEPOOL United are hoping for a rare event tomorrow night - a Victoria Park sell-out.
Despite all the successes of recent years, Pool have never put the house full signs up at home and the club is seeking a packed stadium when West Brom visit in the second round of the Carling Cup.
The Baggies, relegated from the Premiership last season, have started the new season well. They are in third place in Division One and will include former Pool defender Phil Gilchrist and ex-Darlington skipper Sean Gregan in their side.
Neale Cooper knows his side can bounce back from Saturday's defeat at Brentford and believes an upset is on the cards.
"They are a very good team, right in your face and they will give us a great test,'' said the Pool boss.
"But I know what we are capable of and we will be better than we were on Saturday.
"I know the owners are very keen on seeing a big crowd for the game and I think they deserve it.
"It's down to their backing and support that the club has done so well in the last few years and is able to attract so many quality players to the club.
"A big crowd and a full house would show how much they are appreciated by supporters.''
Gary Megson's side drew 2-2 at Crystal Palace on Saturday. Jason Koumas gave them an 89th minute lead only for Damien Johnson to level in injury time.
* Two Pool strikers out on loan both netted on Saturday.
Marcus Richardson scored for Lincoln in their 2-1 win at Kidderminster and Kevin Henderson scored Carlisle's first goal in their 2-2 draw at Southend. Henderson hit the bar on his debut last week and Richardson's goal is his second of a month long loan spell which is due to expire this week.
And Highland League strikers Ian Murray and Mike McKenzie, could be joining Pool on trial shortly. The pair last week revealed they would head south after their side's involvement in the Scottish Cup was over. Deverovale lost to Buckie Thistle on Saturday in the qualifying round - Murray was sent-off, while McKenzie netted his side's only goal from the penalty spot in a 2-1 defeat.
