Bishop Middleham CE Aided Primary School is celebrating a £5,000 grant from the National Lottery's Awards for All programme.
"The school is delighted to receive the award, which will allow the provision of after-school fitness opportunities," said headteacher Jim Atkinson.
"Provision of a digital projector and screen will enable school visits and activities to be shared with parents and the wider community."
The award tops a successful year for the village school.
An Office for Standards in Education inspection described it as a very good school and it received a Government School Achievement Award for its improvements in Standard Assessment Test results last year.
Results this year were even better, with 95 per cent of pupils achieving the Level Four targets in maths and science and 90 per cent in English.
