PICTURES by photographers from around the world are being displayed in Hartlepool.
More than 150 photographs by members of the Royal Photographic Society will be on show until November 2.
The travelling exhibition contains work from some of the society's 10,000 members, based in 59 countries.
Each photograph is an attempt to demonstrate how photography can capture movement and unposed moments in time.
Entry to the exhibition at Hartlepool Art Gallery, in Church Square, is free. The gallery is open from 10am to 5pm, Tuesdays to Saturdays, and from 2pm to 4.30pm on Sundays, but is closed on Mondays.
