Following last week's league win, Albion Under-13s, sponsored by Digital Communication Systems, again played Bedale this time in cup action and improved their performance by defeating them 7-2.
Because of key absences a change was made to the formation, which paid off with a very good display from the whole squad. In all fairness the result did not reflect the fierce competition Bedale put up. Nearly all Albion's goals came from speedy breakaways, while Albion's defence again had to dig in hard. Philips Caley again scored his hat-trick, Danny Potts was man of the match and scored twice while Simon Sung and Michael Johnston (penalty) also scored.
In a much improved performance Albion Under-14s, sponsored by Stone Technical Services, netted ten goals in the first round of the Teesside League Cup while playing Seaton Carew at home. Albion dominated the game from start to finish allowing Kevin Sung and Elvin Webley to each score a hat-trick, together with goals from Luke Ward, Luke Stone, Jordan Wood and Shaun Marshall, man of the match Michael Wilson. An overall good team display and an excellent performance from stand-in goalkeeper Thomas Neill. Final score was Albion 10, Seaton Carew 2.
The Under-15s were in cup action against Stokesley at home. After taking the lead to go in at half time 1-0 up, Albion ran out of steam as the wind favoured the visitors, eventually losing 3-1. Albion's goal came from Matthew Caley. Man of the match was Lee McKie.
The Under-12s played Tyneside Juniors in the Durham County Cup. Despite an early lead from a goal by Lee Barnes, Albion lost 6-3, Lee scored second and Lewis Walker scored third for the Albion.
