The programme on the final day of the season was badly affected by the weather but Middleton St George completed their game with Barton to clinch the championship.
Batting first Middleton St George managed only 123 for seven but then dismissed Barton for only 93. Steven Rogers scored more than half the Middleton St George total ending with 74 and for Barton P Frankland took four for 55 and J Frankland two for 64.
When they went into bat Barton fell well short of the target as Middleton St George won by 30 runs. Hussain claimed four wickets for 37 runs, McKenna three for 30 and Ayub three for 17.
Rockliffe Park finished runners-up and they completed the season with a seven wickets victory over Ingleton. Their target was only 95 and Garbutt hurried Rockliffe Park to victory carrying his bat for 54. All three wickets to fall were taken by Osborne at a cost of 35 runs.
When they batted first Ingleton managed just 94 which included 32 by Wood, while in the Rockliffe Park attack Krishnan took four for 46.
Cockerton totalled 152 for five including 61 by Farrow and 32 from Rawlings before Haughton ended with 52 for one on the board. At that stage the rain caused the match to be abandoned.
There was no play in the games between Heighinton and Witton-le-Wear, Raby Castle and Aldbrough St John and Barningham and Cliffe.
In Division B Rockliffe Park ended at the top but their last game with Catterick Village, who are runners-up, was called off with Catterick 121 for five. Coultish contributed 51 as Rockliffe Park used no fewer than eight bowlers in their attack.
Spennymoor defeated East Cowton by 51 runs. Batting first the visitors ended with 191 for four on top which included an unbeaten 60 by McGough who opened the innings. Potts contributed 48 to a productive third wicket partnership.
When East Cowton went to the wicket they were all out for 140 and their top scorer was Woodcock with 35 while Whelpton added 31. Collingwood had a good last day with the ball for Spennymoor capturing five wickets for 54 runs.
Spennithorne and Harmby ended with 146 for five which included 44 by Sedgley and 39 from Walker. Heighington had just got into bat and were 12 without loss when the rain intervened.
Trimdon CCA beat the weather and Middleton-in-Teesdale after reducing their opponents to 51 as Coughtree to four wickets at a cost of 25 runs. The target was easy for Trimdon CCA and Hodgson ended unbeaten on 28 and Bates added 18 not out to the match winning total of 52 for one.
Elstob ended undefeated on 122 and Cummins managed 50 not out as Lands totalled 207 for two declared but their game with Dales was washed out before the visitors were able to start their innings.
