Stockton Town Under-10s quite emphatically won their first game of the season away to Bishop Auckland.

After a couple of early St Marys attacks, Stockton Town swept into an early lead when Adam Flewker scored.

The lead was quickly increased as man of the match Jamie Blyth was sent clear by Jak Edwards and Blyth confidently beat the keeper to make it 2-0 after six minutes. Only minutes later it was 3-0 as an unfortunate St Marys defender turned Andrew Mclaren's fiercely struck free kick straight into the net.

With two minutes of the first half remaining Flewker took a corner which was met at the near post by Ben Thacker whose first time effort hit the post and ricocheted to Luke Conroy who poked the ball home to make it 4-0 to Stockton at the half time break.

Stockton continued to dominate after half time as first Blyth hit the post with a diving header and then Thacker again struck the post with a great shot. Then Stockton scored the best goal of the game as Mclaren passed inside to Flewker whose pinpoint pass found Jamie Blyth on the edge of the box, he brilliantly brought the ball under control and in one movement slammed the ball into the net, to make it 5-0.

All credit to Bishop Auckland, who despite being behind, made a number of attacks at the Stockton goal to try and score a consolation goal but found Jack Cooper unwilling to sacrifice his clean sheet.

Stockton Town Under-14s progressed through to the first round of the League Cup with a comfortable victory over Division Five side Leven Athletic. Widdowson was first on the scoresheet when he headed home from a Horner corner, Elgey followed a short time later when he latched onto a near post cross from Horner. The Horner - Widdowson combination worked again when Horner's cross was volleyed in by Widdowson on the back post. Widdowson gained his hat-trick just before half time when he converted a loose ball in the Leven box, this time from a Mitoubsi cross.

Stockton continued their domination in the second half, with Widdowson adding his fourth and Crossen his first. It was next Elgey's turn, who converted twice from Crossen for his hat-trick. Not be outdone by his strike partner C Stockton got in on the act with a hat-trick in five minutes, before Elgey took his tally for the day to four with another header, taking the final score to 12-0. Stockton meet Norton & Stockton Ancients away in the next round.

Man of the match was Stockton's L McCabe.

After last week's result Stockton Town Athletic Under-10s were full of confidence and started well against a strong and well organised Newton Aycliffe Sports Club C.

The first half was very even with both defences on top though Stainsby and Mcarthur were lively up front with good support from captain Good.

The second half was similar with both teams equally matched. Aycliffe finally made the breakthrough when a mix up in the Stockton defence allowed Fahey to tap the ball into an empty net. Stockton tried to push for an equalliser which made for an exiting finish to the game.

Stockton almost grabbed a point right at the end when Donnelly's drive forced a top class from the Aycliffe keeper. Although Aycliffe probably just shaded the game Stockton can take great pride in matching a more experienced team and producing a fantastic effort for the second week running.
