A WIDE range of events are to take place in Teesside as part of Age Concern Week.
The week, which runs from Sunday, will be marked with a series of activities, which will begin on Monday at Stockton Parish Church, in the High Street, with the launch of Age Wise.
This is a drop-in service providing information to over 50s in Stockton on a range of issues including benefits, personal safety and recreational activities. The event will take place from 9am to noon.
On Tuesday, a new Age Concern charity shop will open in Stockton High Street, opposite the Castlegate Shopping Centre.
A sponsored head shave will take place at the Grosmont Centre, Redcar, on Wednesday and on Friday Greatham Health Clinic, Greatham, near Hartlepool, is holding a drop-in benefit surgery in partnership with district nurses. Benefits and pension credits will also be discussed.
