GUESTS at a luxury hotel in the Middle East will soon be using pillows made by a Teesside firm.
Razzmatazz International, based in Liverton Mines, near Loftus, has won an order worth more than £1,000 to supply a range of buckwheat and herbal pillows and aromatherapy oils to Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum for the Mina A' Salam Hotel, at the Madinat Jumeirah Resort, in Dubai.
Tony Barnes, Razzmatazz managing director, said: "Our export business is predominantly with distributors so we usually have no control or knowledge about where our products end up and this is our first direct sale to a hotel."
The firm specialises in natural products, from herbal pillows and aromatherapy oils to bath bombs, incense and scented soaps and candles.
The hotel opens this month and will eventually have 600 bedrooms. Mr Barnes hopes the initial trial order will be followed by a much larger one.
Razzmatazz already exports to Japan, Taiwan and Hong Kong, by working with Trade Partners UK to tap into new markets.
