Chester-le-Street Town: The Under-18s made it six wins in seven as they comfortably beat North Tyneside College Academy in a League match.
This hastily arranged fixture saw the Cestrians establish a 1-0 lead on the stroke of half time when they got behind the visitors' defence for the first time and Chris Laws scored from close range.
Fine work down the left by Chris Clayton saw his fine centre met at the near post by Martin Urwin who scored with his first touch. Laws then added the third with a fine effort from the edge of the box. The College reduced the deficit through a penalty before Urwin finished a fine move to make it 4-1 for a comfortable victory.
The Juniors had been without a match on Saturday with seven of squad involved in Durham County FA's 8-1 County Youth Cup first round win over Lincolnshire at the Archibalds stadium. All eight Durham goals were scored by Cestrians players with Christopher Laws (4), Steven Richardson (3) and Andy Bulford on target.
Chester don't have a match tomorrow due to the County being in action in the Northern Counties at Westmoreland. The Juniors next match takes place on Thursday, October 2 when they host Bradford (Park Avenue) at Moor Park in the third and final qualifying round of this year's FA Youth Challenge Cup (7.45pm kick off).
