BUILDING firms are being urged to attend a series of breakfast seminars to find out about grants for businesses improvement.
The Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) is encouraging construction companies to achieve the Investors in People standard.
Grants of up to £2,000 are being offered to businesses which reach the standard and £5,000 will be awarded to those who go on to achieve the training benchmark.
A series of short breakfast seminars for companies interested in learning more about the grants and routes to achieving Investors in People are taking place across the region.
They will be held on: October 8, in Beamish Hall, near Stanley; October 9, at The Bridge Inn, Ramshaw, Wear Valley; October 21, Walworth Castle Hotel, near Darlington; October 23, Staincliffe Hotel, Hartlepool; November 4, the Holiday Inn, Washington; November 6, Newcastle Falcons RFC, Kingston Park, Newcastle.
Construction companies interested in the new grants or attending any of the breakfast seminars can contact the CITB on 0191-516 3900 or contact their nearest Business Link.
