MUSIC HALL: Jean Bird will relate the Lives and Times of Marie Lloyd to Sacriston and District Everyman's Club, at 7.30pm, tomorrow, in the lounge of St John's Court.
YOUNG ACTORS: Ouston Youth Theatre, which meets from 5pm to 7pm on Thursdays in Ouston Community Centre, has vacancies for youngsters in the eight to 15 age group. More information is available on 0191-410 5183.
QUIZ TIME: A sports quiz will be held from 7.30pm, on Wednesday, at Chester-le-Street Cricket Club.
SUPPORTERS HELP: A talk by former England and Newcastle United striker Malcolm Macdonald, arranged by the Chester-le-Street branch of the Newcastle United Supporters' Club, raised £1,006 to help six-year-old leukaemia sufferer Vicki Jones, from Waldridge Village, to go on a dream holiday. A further £250 was donated by the town's new Tesco store.
CLUB GRANT: Sacriston Under-18 Football Club has won a £1,289 grant from the Coalfields Regeneration Trust.
GOLF TOURNEY: The Wheatsheaf 2000 Golf Society, at Barley Mow, is travelling to Dunstanburgh Priory Golf Club, Northumberland, on Wednesday for its monthly tournament.
