A WOMEN'S health awareness day will take place next week.
As many women as possible are being urged to visit a roadshow when it rolls into the James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough, on Tuesday, October 7.
Organised by the Health Promotion Network Group, the event coincides with several national campaigns, including Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Superintendent physiotherapist Joan Chapman said: "We would like to encourage as many women as possible to come along to our displays and ask questions or pick up leaflets. We've found this is one of the best ways of raising awareness."
Staff will cover a range of issues, including healthy eating, drugs, alcohol, osteoporosis, breast awareness, sexual health, the menopause and how to stop smoking.
Visitors can pamper themselves with tasters of head, neck and shoulder massages and manicures and there will be a quiz with prizes and giveaways.
The roadshow will be held at the back of the staff restaurant, from 11am to 2pm, for staff, visitors and patients.
