VISITORS to a community drop-in centre were happy to sit down with a coffee to do their bit towards the World's Biggest Coffee Morning.
About 25 visitors enjoyed a brew with staff at the Willington Community Resource Centre, in Willington, on Friday, as part of the national record-breaking attempt.
The event raised about £30 towards the work of Macmillan Cancer Relief. People in the town also took part in the event at Willington Library, which served up refreshments in aid of the charity event.
Mary Gallagher, resource centre manager, said: "People passing through the building, to access the Citizen's Advice Bureau or other facilities, were happy to get involved.
"It was only a small event but very friendly and people gave donations freely. It was nice to be part of a national effort in aid of a wonderful cause."
