People suffering from debt problems in the Cockerton and Branksome areas of Darlington can get help from a local service.
Members of the Citizens Advice Bureau visits the Cable offices in Whitby Way and offers debt counselling before encouraging clients to join the Credit Union in Cockerton and get into regular saving patterns or access low-cost loans. For details call (01325) 354084.
RAFA MEETING: An extraordinary meeting of Darlington branch of the Royal Air Forces Association will be held on Friday, at 7.30pm, at Darlington Cricket Club, South Terrace. The meeting has been called to approve donations.
EXHIBITION DATE: An exhibition of crafts by local people will be held in the Clifton Centre, Clifton Road, Darlington, on Saturday, from 10.30am to 4pm, and Sunday, from 1pm to 4pm.
PARKING SCHEME: Plans have been submitted to Darlington Borough Council by the Life and Light Missions for a car park on land at St Hilda's Church, in the town's Parkgate.
SPONSORED WAX: Two men will have their legs waxed tonight to raise money for children's play schemes on the Redhall Estate in Darlington. The waxing starts at 6pm at the community centre in Headingly Crescent. To sponsor the pair visit the centre or call 07876 682754.

BIKE SNATCHED: A yellow and black Concept mountain bike was taken from its owner in Russell Street, Darlington, between 5pm and 5.15pm on Sunday.
CHARITY CASH: A coffee morning organised by Sue Nelson, at Grange Farm, Longnewton, near Darlington, raised more than £600 for Macmillan Cancer Relief on Saturday. The event was held as part of the charity's world's biggest coffee morning event.
CAR STOLEN: A blue Ford Fiesta, registration M647 USF was stolen from the Britannia Inn, in Archer Street, Darlington, between 8pm and 11.30pm on Saturday.
