TWO events promoting home security will be held in Hartlepool to coincide with the darker nights.
The Lights Against Crime sessions will be held at the premises of Storm Electrical, in Whitby Street, on Saturday, and again on Saturday, October 25, from 10am to noon .
Colin Hopkins, formerly the local police crime prevention officer who now works in a similar role in the town's New Deal for Communities (NDC) area, and PC Steve Davies, Hartlepool police burglary reduction officer, will be present to offer advice
They will stress the importance of making a home look occupied by leaving on lights or programming timer swit-ches to come on while people are out.
The first six customers to attend the event this Saturday will each receive a low energy light bulb courtesy of Storm Electric.
