It was a day of disaster for some keepers whilst others excelled.
Stillington The Royal had Darlington Archdeacon as visitors and their keeper Ted Halstead restricted the homeside to a 4-1 victory. Royal went in at the interval 3-1 to the good with two goals from Paul Cleary, who was causing Archdeacon defence all sorts of problems, and Lee O'Connell. Neil Blewitt replied for 'Deacon with a rasping 25 yard free kick. The only goal of the second half came from Cleary to complete his hat-trick.
Darlington The Mowden did everything but score in their encounter with Hurworth Emerson Arms. After a fairly even first half the second was all Mowden with the woodwork and on line clearances keeping them at bay, it was a thankful Emerson side when the final whistle went leaving the game a goalless draw.
The Tindale WMC charge continued when they totally dominated their fixture with Chilton Community College. After a first half that produced four goals for them they scored at regular intervals in the second to run out 10-0 winners. The goals being shared by eight players, Paul Foster and Gary Whittaker hit a brace with one apiece going to Ashley Wilson, Lee Foster, Billy Latcham, Andrew Fairley, Mark Smith and Mark Foster
Lee Hammond was again on target for Darlington Stadia hitting five in their 11-4 win over Darlington GSOB. Nathan James grabbed a couple with Scott Davison, Dave Turnbull, Neil Willis and Paul Hope rounding off their scoring, Sam Nattrass and John Shields both notched a pair for the Old Boys
Darlington Skerne Park put up a good early showing against Shildon Elm Road WMC but once again fell away badly to finally go down 12-3. Carl Dawson hit four with hat-tricks going to Darryl Meadows and Craig Evans, Dave Bowes and Daniel Plews were the other scorers, Dean Pearson (2) and Chris White were Skerne Park scorers.
