Goals galore for the Echo:
The Second Division provided the highest scorers of the day with The Northern Echo, who had only scored one goal so far this season, they found their form and the back of the net 11 times against Berlins.
With the Echo in total control from the first whistle they took a 7-0 lead into the break, Berlins who battled hard for the full 90 minutes came out in the second half and pulled two back through Scott and Wilkinson, but the Echo dominated with goals coming from six different players. A hat-trick from Paul Jackson, two each from Graham Bartlett, Gary Pallas and Darren Henderson, one from Darren Stanley and influential man of the match Martin Williamson hitting the home side's 11th with a near post run to volley home Rob Carter's corner.
With Cleveland Bridge in the County Cup, Pepper DS took over at the top with a 6-2 home victory over FRA Mowden. Goals from Scot Davison, Richard Harrison, Mark Stephenson and a hat-trick from Gary Barnes, Mowden replied with a double strike from Martin Hickmans, but PDS took all three points.
Middleton St. George kept their 100 per cent record with a 9-1 victory at the Royal BL, a Michael Cairns hat-trick, two from Mark Brischuk, and one apiece from Phil Liversedle, John Sunter and Matt Reeves, with Neil Stephenson giving the Legion a consolation.
